Location
Segovia has a rich cultural and historic heritage. UNESCO has designated it a "World Heritage City" for its cultural and artistic wonders, such as the Roman Aqueduct, the Gothic Cathedral, the Alcázar, its most famous castle, and a number of other singular monuments and buildings including the Santa Cruz la Real convent, now the home of IE University where classes are held.

During the summer a number of music festivals and other cultural events brighten Segovia's cultural horizons and make the city the ideal place to come in contact with Spanish and European culture.

Students will find that Segovia's size is conducive to learning Spanish and learning about Spanish culture. Segovia is in the heart of Castille, the cradle of the Spanish language. It has the quiet atmosphere and cordial hospitality of an old capital city and is only 60 miles from Madrid which is easily accessible by regular train and bus service.

Housing
Students will be placed with carefully chosen families to augment the immersion experience - and get to know wonderful poeple!

Program Costs
Program costs are approximately $5,200.  This includes all academic fees and full room and board but does not include airfare. Students are responsible for arranging their own transportation to and from Spain.  Participants pay all fees at The Office of Study Abroad and Student Exchange.  Some additional money will be needed for personal expenses and for the purchase of textbooks.  Program price, dates and arrangements may be subject to change due to unexpected circumstances.
