Possible financial
support
The potential availability of Graduate College Fellowships will vary from year to year. Other financial assistance includes teaching assistantships (GATships) in some of the collaborating departments. In addition, a limited number of tuition and registration scholarships are available. Decisions on the awarding of GATships are generally made by the collaborating departments. In other cases, decisions are made by the SLAT Executive Council.
The deadline
for application for the scholarships and for most assistantships is
February 1st. Awards are usually made in April for the forthcoming academic
year. Application forms for financial support offered by the Graduate
College, and for teaching assistantships in English, may be obtained
from the SLAT office. Application forms for teaching assistantships
in other languages and information regarding each department's policies
concerning teaching assitantships should be obtained directly from
the
relevant department at the address listed below:
