The AATSP2009 Dolores Brown AwardThis award may be presented annually by the Arizona Chapter of AATSP to honor a Spanish or Portuguese teacher who has contributed to the profession in an exemplary manner. Criteria for candidacy for the award:• Must have taught Spanish or Portuguese for 5 years at any educational level • Must have attended an AATSP, AZLA, SWCOLT, AATSP Share Day or related event within the last 3 years • Must have been a member of AATSP for 5 years • Must have served on a committee or made a presentation for an AATSP or related event and/or demonstrated contributions to the profession outside the classroom Please send two letters , both a letter of nomination (which may include a resumé) and a letter of recommendation (from an administrator, colleague or chairperson) to the address below. The letter of recommendation should include detailed examples of professional accomplishments, both inside and outside the classroom. The deadline for submission of nominations is August 1, 2009 . The winner will be announced at the Awards Luncheon of the annual AZLA Conference. Please send all nominations to the following address. John T.
