The Dean of the College of Humanities has made money available for minority students’ recruitment, retention, and mentoring in the Department of German Studies. We urge all those who are interested and who qualify to apply as soon as possible. The details are as follows: |

Six scholarships (up to $500 each) for members of a minority group will be awarded for: |
|
| 1) advanced high school students in their senior year of high school who will enroll at the University of Arizona as German minors or majors, and
2) U of A students (Ger 101 through Ger 300/301) who will also enroll (or continue) as German minors or majors. | |
Applicants must be U.S. citizens!
Application requirements: |

| 1) A letter of intent and application for the scholarship written in English
2) Two letters of recommendation. High school students need a letter from their German teacher and from another person; University of Arizona students need letters from two German instructors.

Applications are due at the address below by November 15 and March 1. Scholarships will be awarded on December 10 and March 30, respectively. |
