The Department of German Studies is happy to announce the availability of several Weinel Memorial Scholarships (amount may vary depending on student response and proposed program of study) for Junior, Senior and Graduate students, majoring in German Studies. The scholarship will be available for the Spring, Summer, and Fall semesters. Students are invited to apply if they meet the following criteria: |

1. Minimum GPA of 3.5 in German classes.
2. Applicants must be full-time regular students of Junior, Senior or Graduate standing, majoring in German.
3. Applicants should complete the attached application form and submit a letter of application in German, stating qualifications, study objectives and career goals. If applying for summer study, provide the name of the program (e.g., Leipzig or Taos).
4. Applicants should supply the names of two faculty members who are willing to endorse their application.
5. Applicants may submit supporting material that they consider relevant to their application.
6. Applicants must commit to have an application for the proposed program of study on file in the Office of Study Abroad or the Department of German Studies. |

The application deadline for the Weinel Memorial Scholarship is November 15 and March 15. Scholarships will be awarded on December 7 and April 5, respectively.
