The Department of German Studies will award two Oskar Grunow Scholarships for study at a German university during the coming academic year. These scholarships are funded by the Oskar Grunow Trust Fund at the University of Arizona and organized in cooperation with the Federation of German-American Clubs. (Each provides approximately 5,000 Euro for ten months.) |

To qualify, students must meet the following criteria: |

1) have taken at least two years of college German or equivalent by the date of departure 2) at least Junior standing at time of departure 3) at least a "B" average in all college courses taken, and "B+" in all college German courses 4) still be an undergraduate during the year abroad 5) be a U.S. citizen 6) not be married (a requirement of the German government) |

The two scholarships will be awarded by January 30, after applications have been reviewed and personal interviews with applicants have been conducted by the screening committee. |
