Junior in French wins Fifth Prize in National Essay Contest.
On April 6, 2007, the Délégation de l’Alliance
Française in Washington announced that José
H. Garcia, AF Tucson's choice for Category A (college
juniors and seniors), won the fifth prize in
the Concours national essay contest held in February. The UA
French junior received books, CDs and a journal subscription.
The Alliance Française of Tucson has been administering
the Concours national locally since 1991, with an area student
winning national honors almost every year.
UA French majors have done very well in the Concours National
over the years.
