:: STUDY ITALIAN IN ORVIETO ::

The Department French and Italian offers a study abroad program in Orvieto, Italy.

Considered by many travelers to be one the world’s most beautiful towns, Orvieto combines Italian small town friendliness and atmosphere with the beauty of the Umbrian countryside. Surrounded by treasures from the Etruscan period, Gothic era, the Renaissance and the 19th century, the student has the entire town as a living classroom.

In collaboration with the University of Arizona Orvieto Institute, the Department of French and Italian offers courses in introductory, intermediate, and advanced Italian language classes, as well as Italian 496a: Italian Literature. Additionally, advanced language students are also qualified to take Italian 393: Internship.  Orvieto is the ideal location for an international study center. The institute is supported by the Commune (municipal government) of Orvieto and the Civic Foundation for the Promotion of Orieto. The goal of the institute is to provide an affordable overseas experience and quality courses for undergraduates with an interest in learning more about the wonders of Italy.

Administrative questions should be directed to the Office of Study Abroad.
