New Publication by Lanin A Gyurko on the Art of Fuentes and Wilder

Lanin A. Gyurko, Professor of Latin American Literature and Film Studies in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese, has just published a new book, The Shattered Screen: Myth and Demythification in the Art of Carlos Fuentes and Billy Wilder (New Orleans: University Press of the South, 2009). This work examines the extraordinary influence of the Academy-Award winning screenwriter and director Billy Wilder, in particular Wilder's now classic film, Sunset Boulevard, on the dramatic art of the leading author of Mexico and Latin America, Carlos Fuentes.
