ARCHAEOLOGICAL INSTITUTE OF AMERICA

Classics Department
Learning Services Building, #209
P.O. Box 210105-Tucson, AZ 85721-0105

The Tucson Society of the AIA invites you to join us for a most stimulating program of talks this spring. All members, friends and guests are encouraged to attend the lectures and stay for the sparkling archaeological chit-chat at the receptions following each talk. Our talks this fall take place at the Chavez Building on the UA campus. For those coming from off campus, the closest parking garage to these buildings is the one on Second Street, between Mountain and Highland. If you need additional information about our program, AIA membership, or directions to the buildings, please contact Eleni Hasaki at 520-626-1398, or via email at hasakie@email.arizona.edu. We also want to let you know that the Tucson Society’s reconstruction of the ancient Greek kiln was featured in the poster session of the 2006 meeting of the AIA in Montreal and in the AIA Spring Newsletter as the front cover story. This exciting project has made use of funds awarded to our society as the very first recipient of the AIA Local Society Incentive Grant. For more information about your local AIA, and photos of the kiln in action, visit our website at http://members.cox.net/aiatucson2/index.html.
